Chabad orphan lights Hanukkah candle:
'The father of Rivkah Holtzberg, who was killed along with her husband Gavriel during the terror attack on the Chabad house in Mumbai, India last month, held a menorah-lighting ceremony at his Afula home Sunday evening. Moshe Holtzberg, the murdered couple's 2-year-old son, lit the first Hanukkah candle.'
And this is kind of amazing:
'The verse in the Torah that was shot through by Mumbai terrorists reads: “The Al-mighty spoke to Moshe after the death of Aharon’s two sons….” It is from Vayikra, Chapter 16, Verse 1. The damaged Torah scroll was discovered when officials examined the Chabad House following the massacre of six Israelis by the Muslim terrorists who staged the mass slaughter in at least 10 different places Wednesday night. They saw bullet holes in the Holy Ark where the scroll was kept and then examined it to see if it had been damaged. The verse refers to Nadav and Avihu, the sons of the High Priest Aaron who died when they performed an offering that was not commanded by the Almighty. The Torah states that the Almighty said, “I will be sanctified through those who are close to me,” a statement that often is quoted following inexplicable deaths.'
As Rivka's father says, "A little bit of light dispels a lot of darkness."
